Portugal: flora, fauna, friends, and food
I spent 3 nights in Portugal on my way to Germany. It was a great dose of spring, and a wonderful visit with Linda, a woman I knew from home. She has an amazing bed and breakfast in the hills of the Algarve region of southern Portugal. It was a change of pace, fresh spring air to breathe in, new and delicious foods to taste, and the sound of frogs to put me to sleep at night.
carob tree with green carob pods – did you know this is where carob powder comes from? I didn’t!

can you see the stork nests on top of the poles? Storks! I couldn’t believe my eyes!

Thank you, Linda, for a wonderful, relaxing, invigorating, inspiring time in southern Portugal!
