Hi Eden: What a great sleuth you are! That was fascinating
to watch and you taught me a lot about sloths.
    Good luck finding more.

  2. Carolyn Carr says:

That was very interesting! Before I watched this video I really didn’t know anything about sloths!

  3. Mara says:

I loved your sloth video, Eden, and your drawing, too!

  4. Kristen Berg says:

Thanks for this, Eden! So interesting! I didn’t realize sloths were so big. He seemed so cuddly, I wanted to give him a big hug! :)

    • Rebecca says:

I wanted to hug him too, but if I would climb up into the tree to hug him he would start scratching me with his claws.

Good morning from Canada. We have a wind chill warning here. -35. Yikes!!! We loved watching your video about sloths this morning. Megan said, “I would love to see one too.” I did not know that sloths were good at swimming. I also find it amazing that they only come down from the trees once a week!! good luck finding more!!

  6. Grandma Jeanette says:

So interesting! Thanks for the sleuthing, Eden. Your picture is great. How big is the sloth – could you hold him in your arms like you hold your neighbour’s dog? What name would you give him?

Happy sloth sleuthing! (That is a mouthful :-) )

    • Rebecca says:

      Hi Grandma,
The sloth is about 1/2 my size. I could hold him with difficulty. He would scratch me.
I would name him Cuddle. Zoe suggests the name Ted.
Thanks for the reply! I love you and miss you very much.

  7. Elias and Aisha says:

We liked to see the sloth. It was awesome and fun! We didn’t know that they had a funny nose (like a pig, says Aisha). We didn’t know that their claws were extra long and they were good climbers. Thanks for teaching us, Sloth Sleuth Eden!

  8. Julianne says:

    Dear Eden,
Thank you for the sloth report. It was very interesting and I learned some things that I didn’t know about sloths. I hope you find some more. :)
    Miss Julianne

    Hi Eden!
Wonderful to see you on the screen; you’re looking happy. Wow…..nice video. Thanks for the sleuth lesson! I’m curious about how close you were to the sleuth in the tree. Did you have a ladder or were you standing or sitting on the ground as you watched and taped? He does look like a very interesting creature.
Have fun hunting for more. We think of you all often and miss you!

    • Rebecca says:

      Hi , Grandma & Grandpa
I miss you so so so much. :(
Sorry Grandma but I wasn’t climbing the tree. And I was the sleuth.
The sloth was about 10 feet away from us – very close!

      Love ya,

      Sloth Sleuth Eden

dear Eden I like your video about sloths. I like how you put the little captions in. I haven’t seen you for a long time. I wonder how old you are now. Have fun finding more facts about different animals.

    Hi Eden,
I found it so interesting that sloths are related to ant eaters and armadillos because they don’t look anything like them. I look forward to hearing more.
    Your friend,

    Hi Eden,
We liked learning about sloths from your video. Everyone laughed at the end when the sloth “said” it was so beautiful!

    Have a great weekend!

    Hi Eden and Zoe,
I hope you can have a fun time at Costa Rica. I hope you can take some more videos of sloths. I hope you do some more sloth mothing!

    • Rebecca says:

Hi Paige! Thanks for the message. From now on, why don’t we do words that rhyme with sloth mothing, ok? Sloth moth cloth.
      I miss you! Love, Eden
